After the initial dissapointment of Dwayne Dawson, a potentially incredible TT'er, maxxing at such a low level, the emerge management led by team boss Blue Bolt, had a very tough decision to make. Would the team go out and attempt to buy a rider capable of leading the team to greatness in the future, or to look at its current team of youth, and decide on a rider who had the potential needed.
The management decided on using the teams youth, so went about scouting and researching all of its riders. A few names shone above the rest, names like Gabriel Valentino (good potential downhiller), Kody Scheurich (good climber with average sprinting) and Tyler Kissinger (good cobbler with average stats elsewehere).
However one name stood out amongst all these, Avery Nijholt. Still only 24 years old, this rider could have a big future in the sport. Very good sprinting, good flat roads, good in the hils and average technique could provide the base to lead both the Emerge team, and (according to some experienced managers in the OCM world) the English national team to glory for a number of seasons to come.
Despite being so young and inexperienced, Nijholt has already been compared by some to Yuri Superteam's Patya Gordeyeva, the current 6th placed rider in the OCM rankings. With comparisons like this the OCM world should take notice.
Emerge team boss, Blue Bolt, had the following to say "Avery is definately a rider to look out for in the future. He has great potential, and we look forward to helping him reach the top of the sport. We will stand by him throughout his training period, and try to help in any way we can". All other Emerge team members are said to be relishing the prospect of riding alongside Nijholt in the future.
We are also looking forward to welcoming a new addition to the team early next season, who will hopefully prove to be a great leadout for Nijholt in the future.

Thanks 4 the comment greenride. Dawson was definately a shock to me. As a new manager, I didnt know riders cud max at such a low level, and thought it must of been a bug. This unfortunately was not the case. However it was bcus of this I discovered Nijholt, so not all bad. Hoping 4 a high max with thim
